Brass 1/4″ Male Flare with 1/2″ Female UNF Adapter
The MSA-45 is used on the new R410 Mini Split systems that have the larger unique fitting on the service valve. The description of that fitting is 1/4" Male Flare x 1/2" Female UNF. This adapter will screw onto the 1/2". Acme Male-20 UNF fitting and allow you to connect a standard 1/4" service hose to it.
